Updating Standards for Systematic Reviews: Call for Perspectives
An ad hoc National Academies committee is seeking perspectives to update the 2011 Institute of Medicine (IOM) standards for developing high-quality systematic reviews of comparative effectiveness research. Please submit perspectives by March 2, 2026.
The 2011 report, Finding What Works in Health Care, created standards addressing the entire systematic review process, from the initial steps of formulating the topic and building the review team to reporting findings that include synthesized evidence and remaining knowledge gaps.
A National Academies committee is tasked with updating the 2011 report and is interested in hearing from researchers, evidence synthesis organizations, end-users, patients, and other systematic review interest-holders to inform the updated standards for systematic reviews.
