44th Meeting of the Board on Science Education

Join us for open sessions of the Board on Science Education’s 44th meeting – featuring discussions on AI in education and the work-based learning ecosystem.​ This event will be held ​virtually​ on ​January 5, 2026​ from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. (ET).

Join the National Academies’ Board on Science Education as they explore the use of AI in K-12 and higher education and best practices for work-based learning. During the session, speakers will highlight the ways in which AI has become pervasive across education and implications for policy and practice. The event will also feature a panel with four different perspectives on work-based learning systems, which combine academic instruction with workplace experience.
